As the Presidential election campaigns switch into high gear, the focus turns to raising public awareness of crucial issues. On September 16, Hot Buttered Rum will be joined by Michael Kang of The String Cheese Incident and a diverse roster of Bay Area performers - including Maria Muldaur and The Free Radicals, the world renown jazz and blues duo Tuck & Patti, the fast rising folk pop foursome Blame Sally, blues rocker Tommy Castro, veteran songwriter David Gans, and Oakland based Jeff Halford - will take the stage for a one night concert event to benefit Music for Democracy's aggressive Get Out the Vote campaign. Award winning comedian and playwright Marga Gomez will emcee this exciting event meant to build awareness and support for Barack Obama in key swing states through music.
